Applications

Our customers produce a wealth of exciting solutions. With some assignments, we are very involved in product development, as we can offer the specific know-how required.

Left-hand picture: The roof section on the combine harvester has been made from ABS with tinted acrylic on top. This is a highly weather-resistant material, and the tinted acrylic ensures that the colour will be retained.

Right-hand picture: The headlight frame on the bus is made from coated ABS. The ABS is actually black, but it has been sprayed to get it  exactly the same colour as the rest of the bus.

Product development

One of RIAS' customers had a special development request: "Make a parking disc that is more exclusive than those currently on the market and that is quite simply beyond compare in terms of quality". Peter Mønsted, sales consultant at Rias, was the driving force behind product development of the parking disc. He suggested Makrofol® as the ideal material for the disc.

Makrofol is a polycarbonate film with great impact strength that can withstand both frosty weather and heatwaves without any visual deterioration. It also has an attractive finish, giving an exclusive look.
